Project Title: #Ozimov
Objective: The aim of this project is to reimagine iconic metal robots from popular culture, depicting them as if they were rendered in flesh and bone, using a unique artistic approach.
Background: Robots in fiction are typically portrayed as machines with metallic bodies, symbolizing their artificial nature. This project explores the idea of reversing that concept, imagining these robots as living, organic beings. By doing so, it challenges the boundary between the mechanical and the biological, creating a visual dialogue about the nature of life and artificial intelligence.
Methods/Approach: To bring this concept to life, I used color pencils and markers as the primary mediums. These tools allowed for a detailed and textured rendering that captures the intricacies of human anatomy while maintaining the recognizable forms of the original robots. The choice of color pencil and marker enhances the contrast between the mechanical origins of these characters and their new organic representations.
Results: The outcome is a series of illustrations that showcase famous metal robots as if they were made of flesh and bone. Each piece retains the essence of the original robot's design, while the organic textures add a layer of realism and humanity to these traditionally artificial figures.
