Mars Attacks!
Excited to have TWO illustrations in this Mars Attacks Artbook from Printed in Blood. Below is a closer look at my pieces, I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do a traditional painting to honor the original Topps trading cards. I also knew I had to make the finished design look like a card as well. Both paintings started off from old designs that I had laying around. Becky’s Abduction idea came from an old sketch with a weird looking spacecraft and a girl Becky I once knew. So in essence, she really did get abducted. LOL I can laugh at my own pain. The Mars Attacked! painting was originally an Alien idea I had for an artbook a few years ago but I couldn’t finish it in time. That canvas became the skeletal dead head of a Martian suggesting Mars lost the war… finally.
